What is the difference between Guddenberg packaging and packaging from other manufacturers?
At Guddenberg all packaging is manufactured individually according to customer requirements. We pursue a high quality standard and offer our customers a wide range of variants, inlays, cover materials, finishing options and production techniques. Our production processes allows us to realize an individual packaging production, even in the long run, quickly and careful.
How long does a production take?
The production time is depending on edition and finishing between 3 - 4 weeks.
Which products can Guddenberg produce for me?
In the area of premium packaging, the possibilities at Guddenberg are almost unlimited:

What are laminations?
Packaging at Guddenberg can be covered with various cover materials. You can choose from exquisite paper bindings with different textures, linen materials, leather coverings or metal-look bindings. Depending on the lamination, this results in a completely different feel and appearance.
Which printing methods does Guddenberg offer?
Screen printing and digital printing. Basically, small to medium runs are produced by screen printing, while large runs are made by digital printing. All common colors such as 4/4 color, 4/0 color or possibly only 1/0 color are available.
Can the inlays also be printed?
Cardboard inlays can be printed like packaging with individual print motifs. For foam inserts the classic printing is not easy to implement. However, engraving with a laser can also label foams.
Why are tool costs calculated in my offer?
If you make a request about packaging in a special format, it may be that this format has not been produced by us yet. Each format requires its own production tool for implementation. If tool costs should be saved it makes sense to use an existing format.
What are the tool costs?
The tool costs usually range between 260.00 and 320.00 euros.
What options are available in the field of embossing?
Embossings can be placed anywhere, the material thickness at Guddenberg allows haptic tactile embossings. You can choose between a blind embossing or a hot foil embossing. The hot foil stamping is available for example in gold, silver, glossy black, white or in any other color.
The max. embossing size per stamp is usually 120 x 80 mm, but for larger embossed motifs the embossed motif can be divided into two stamps.
How much is the stamp?
For each embossing stamp usually 80,00 Euro will be charged. Oversize embossing stamps can lead to price increases. For multi-colored imprints one die is required per color. The stamp will be stored for you in our production and kept for any reorders.

How can packaging be designed at Guddenberg?
At Guddenberg, packaging can be covered with cover materials from our extensive range of materials. There are numerous materials in many colors, with different haptics, different structures and properties to choose from. Packaging at Guddenberg can also be coated with individually printed and cellophaned paper.
In addition, we offer a wide range of print finishes. This includes for example dispersion varnish, UV-varnish, embossings or metal emblems.
How can the interior of packaging be designed at Guddenberg?
We offer flexible possibilities to design the inner part of packaging. For example, individual cardboard inserts or foam inserts. All deposits can be tailored to the content and designed as desired.

How does the order process work?

Why are no prices displayed at Guddenberg?
Our packaging is always custom-made - no project is the same. So the prices vary for individual packaging productions, depending on edition, format and equipment. Our employees take the time to respond individually to each request in order to find the best possible solution for our customers. Therefore, we work out every offer personally. You will receive your offer within one working day.
What is the minimum quantity at Guddenberg?
From an edition of 300 copies an individual production is possible. There is no limit on circulation.
I would like to reorder already produced packaging. Do I have to resubmit the data?
We store the print data, voucher copies, embossed stamps for each order. The data does not have to be sent again.
I made a request but I did not get an answer. What can I do?
In particular, it may happen that inquiries go under or technical circumstances prevent the delivery of your request. As a rule, we answer inquiries within one working day. If you have made a request but have not received a response, please try again or contact us by phone.
How can I order sample material?
If you want to get an overview of different materials, or just want to touch a Guddenberg packaging, you can order samples. Just use our contact form and describe your project.
I have not received a sample shipment. What can I do?
From time to time, packages may perish on the shipping route. If our sample package does not reach you within 7 working days, please contact your contact person. Please note that for sample deliveries to non-EU countries, extended shipping times may occur.
What is a release pattern and when does it make sense?
Guddenberg offers the possibility of producing a prototype (release pattern before the start of production). Especially with long runs, the error rate should be minimized.
What does Guddenberg need to carry out the production?
For the embossing of a company logo, trademark or motif we need a vectorized EPS or AI-file.
How can my data be transmitted to Guddenberg?
Data can be sent directly by e-mail to your own contact person.
Does Guddenberg check my data before production starts?
All data that receives us will be checked free of charge. If we notice something, we will let you know as soon as possible and support you as needed.
We do not have our own graphic department. Can the print data be created for us?
If you need help, contact us. Our graphics team will be pleased to assist you with the production of print data.
I have a change request. Until when can I pass this?
Once you have received your order confirmation and have approved, we start production. Of course, we try to implement change requests as much as possible, but depending on the phase of production this can lead to additional costs and to extended delivery times.

How much are the shipping costs?
Shipping costs vary depending on weight, quantity and place of delivery. On request we will calculate the shipping costs together with your offer.
Packaging should be delivered to a country outside the EU. Do I have to expect additional import fees?
When shipping to a state outside the EU, additional costs can be expected regardless of country. Please note that all local fees, customs duties and taxes incurred upon delivery of the order are to be borne by the recipient. Please talk to your personal contact person to clarify this in detail.
How do I receive the bill?
Invoicing takes place after delivery of the goods. You will receive the document via e-mail in PDF format. The invoice amount must be transferred within 7 days strictly net to the account shown on the invoice.
When do I have to pay in advance?
For new customers, as well as for long runs, we reserve the right to pre-pay. The percentage is set separately by us depending on the order.
The packaging was delivered to me. Unfortunately the goods do not match my order. What can I do?
Quality and your satisfaction is our top priority. If our goods have suffered damage during transport or have other undesirable features, please contact your personal contact immediately. Your complaint will be reviewed as soon as possible and in the case of a legitimate complaint, picked up, repaired and replaced by correct goods.
